“Don’t stop chasing for your dreams. Next thing you know, you have successfully achieve them!”
If I could convert into money the happiness and contentment I am feeling right now, I probably would end up on the list of Forbes Magazine. Sad to say, experience is as intangible as earning millions for my kind. 😀 😀 😀 But if there’s one thing that travelling has taught me, it is to be contented with what I have and what life has to offer. I have learned to embrace the inevitable circumstances and become pliant with all the adversities in hand.
Since last year, I had been promoting local tourism in my blog, to my friends, and as well as in the workplace. I have been dying to share to them the satisfaction felt upon reaching a summit, sweating out, talking nonsense with strangers turned friends, and reliving moments with nature. That’s the reason why even with the epic stormy adventure we had last Valentine’s Day at Mt. Manunggal and Mt. Mauyog, I braved to organize another event. The Mt. Mauyog-Mt. Manunggal experience taught me a lot about organizing events – that it is not only limited to posting an event on social media and having people to join your activity. Organizing means you have to get to know who you are with, look over the participants from time to time, have a general background with first aid (good thing I’ve been a member of the Red Cross Chapter during college and Risk Reduction Team in the workplace), and be the one responsible for whatever will occur throughout the activity. It was actually a spur of the moment idea. Our guide, Sir Jude, during our Sirao trek asked me if I have an upcoming activity over the weekend. I was planning to hibernate for awhile since I have been out for successive Sundays from January to February. However, the idea of conquering another summit has been nagging out of my head. I shared to him that I had plans of going to Mt. Naupa. And so the event was created.
My original plan was to have the climb in the morning and then proceed to a waterfalls found in San Fernando in the afternoon. However, I felt that I need a break from all the engagements and activities I had. Since it’s just a chill climb, I want to spend more time with nature and appreciate more its beauty. So, we decided to have it in the afternoon so that we can have a perfect view of the sunset.
I am truly happy. It was as if God planned it perfectly as it should be. No injuries were incurred. The weather was more than fine. Everybody enjoyed the short trek. We got to quench our thirst with fresh coconut juice. My friends from different adventures were gathered together. We witnessed a falling star on our trek back home. Everything was simply put into order.

Haha. Mahirap na ang buhay. Dapat habulin. Dapat malakas tumakbo. Dumarami ang snatcher sa panahon ngayon.
