There are two provinces in the Philippines that Filipinos would rather not visit:  Batanes and Tawi-tawi. The former because of the “presumed” expenses in flying to the northernmost part of the country, while the latter because of the “presumed” danger imposed by the place. But are these presumptions real? Aren’t they negotiable? What if, these places hold the secret to a better and blissful living? What if these notions are of the past and should be left… in the past? Would you dare explore?

Such secrets to keep, right? But as we go along with life, we have to diverge from what society has been repeatedly telling and warning us about. Maybe it’s about time to navigate and allow our inner sailors to deploy. In the end, we find ourselves wishing we had more time and wanting to make more with what life and this world can give. Come to think of it, the saddest summary of life has been contained in two words: what if. Would you still fall prey on the presumptions above?
